Not bad if you USE THE TOOL THAT CAME IN YOUR BIKES TOOL KIT.
Anything else and you will curse.

I changed mine while having the plastics off already. It took me around 2 hrs using the plug tool out of the tool kit. They are deep in the head so that socket is the shit for getting them in and out. getting the coils out is tough. Take your time and don't man-handle them. I wouldn't change them just for something to do. Mine still looked brand new at 15K miles

Also, if you can, torque them to spec. If you do it just by feel the next time you change
them one of them may come loose just by using your fingers. Ask me how I know
that...

Just came by this as I'm changing mine was planning on just tightening by feel - were you able to fit a torque wrench in there? If so, what kind?

I used a 3/8 drive Craftsman click type torque wrench. If I remember correctly I was able
to use the tool that came with the bike. I had a socket that matched the hex on the spark
plug tool on my torque wrench. Its a tight fit, but I got it done. Be patient when doing this.

Good luck.

Takes me about the same amount of time give or take.
Factory tool in the tool kit under the seat and a 14mm ratcheting end wrench .
The crush washers make it almost too easy to torque.
Tighten them till they stop turning .

I do 1 from the left and 3 from the right. That works a little better for me.

I was hoping somebody would justify my not using a torque wrench! Got the stick coils off and plugs out (with factory tool). Thanks for the replies.

Where was the place you guys bought your plugs from? Dealer? Did you use stock replacements or another brand? I have 20K clock on the odometer and I think I might want to change the plugs now. I have part of the plastcis off for some minor touch-up paint....

Having the block off plates on and removing the kleen air system makes for more room in this area for changing plugs. and use the factory socket for plugs works great.
