bust my oil pan

guys i used the search first lol im gonna go with the clems oil pan im gonna try to modifiy my pan first it dont look to hard to do. the question i got is could i use the same pick hose or do i need a modified one. also i should remove the other hose in the pan right ? how could i tell which is which thanks guys. one more thing i drove the bike for about 4 minutes to get home you think it mess something up inside the motor . once i got to my garage their was alot of oil still draining . what you think?

It depends how much oil you still had left in the sump. If you still had enough oil in there you won't have damaged anything hopefully. There is the oil pick up which is w black plastic thing with the oil strainer in it and there is the other thin black rubber hose which is the crankcase breather hose. Many people have suggested removing that one.

it had some oil their was a pretty big puddle.

no the oil light never came on. i was gonna cut the pan like the clems but i didnt really want to cut the picker its plastic didnt want to mess it up or cut it wrong.so i patch up the hole and relocated the plug in the back. hope it works

Don't do it'' unless you checked the pickup really good for cracks. I have seen more then one motor lost to a 15 dollar part because it didn't look cracked. I replace any with pan damage or clem sends me one cut with the pans'' but i still inspect the pick up very closely...............Bill

I just cracked my pan Sunday at budds creek, It didnt even leak until i got back to the trailer. Small crack around the bolt i am assuming. Who has a modified oil pan i have delivered by thursday?

Please get a cut pan if you lower these bikes.
Somebody is going to get hurt bad if this keeps up.

i would just pull the oil pan get it cut or welded and relocate the bolt to the back thats what i did. or order one from clems 265 or 120 if you send the old one.
