replacing headlight bulbs

We are replacing the bulbs in the volvo semi, and my boss wants some xenon bulbs. His factory bulbs are 55w and the only ones we can find are 100w... Will they melt the headlight?? We are in iowa at the truckstop, a quick answer would be appreciated!!!

I have used 110 w high beam bulbs in many of my pickups, and logging tractors I used to drive. I neverb had issue with the lens although it can be hard on the wiring.
I would look into piaa xenons, they are standard wattage with higher lumens... normal current draw with more light.
Beware of the cheap 100 watt bulbs, the filaments can't handle the vibration well, and will burn out often. Sylvania worked well but the cheap chinese would burn out quick, and I have always been sure not to handle the glass part of the bulb.

They have a cheap brand and then these are streetglow bulbs... That's all they have.

Don't put 100w in the lows!... he will find people will be blinded and driving towards the light-- that is towards your bumper
