Body squash nuts
Been meaning to put this up and kept forgetting. These are the black rubber squash nuts for the skins (replacement squash nuts). Kawa wants about $4.81 or a little higher for each one. These are not 'exact', in that Kawa's has a slight swelling so when you insert the squash nut it stays in place. These are straight. I haven't had them in long enough to know that once installed and tightened down for a while, if they'd keep the slight swelling/deformation in them.
I used a small piece of ele tape on mine when newly installed. Bag of 6 = $12.95.
PRO-BOLT 6 PC WNDSCRN KT-SIL $12.95
Mfg. #: SK6S Our #: T 606098 Vendor #: 60-6098

When you tighten them up they colapse and you see the bluge that holds them in place.

What size MM are the well nuts for the side fairing? And what size MM are the 2 well nuts that go into the airbox?? I want to order 24 for the plasic and 10 for the air box as 3 of us have ZX-14. I hope Desmoparts have both.

Great site.......Thanks Parts arrived. I ordered a 100 pc allen head SS bolt kit too.
Well nuts are just like what the Stealership sells..but they are 70 cents each not $4.00
each, I got several dozen of all three sizes of the Well Nuts for me and the 3 14's I ride with.
Fairing and wind shields and the larger one's that break and fall in the air box.
Good Find :-) Thanks

I just received 6 MM well nuts from http://www.desmoparts.com, for the body skins, and they are not the correct size, though the envelope says 6 mm.
Previous I ordered some well nuts, 6 mm from PRO-BOLT 6 PC WNDSCRN KT-SIL $12.95
Mfg. #: SK6S Our #: T 606098 Vendor #: 60-6098, and they were perfect.
Anyone else order from http://www.desmoparts.com for teh body skins, and if so, what size did you order?
Tks

The 6 MM are the larger well nuts that crack and can fall in the air box. 5 MM are the
wind screen and fairing well nuts. I ordered 6MM and 5MM and a few 4 MM.

Yes the one's that have the plastic washers that connect the side fairing pieces together
and the wind shield (6) are all 5MM. This is what is written in the SS allen head screw kit instructions... I purchased along with all the extra well nuts and extra plastic washers.
