Ozzy Osbourne was seriously injured Monday in an accident on the grounds of his estate in England and underwent emergency surgery, a spokeswoman said.
The 55-year-old rock star was riding a "quad bike," or all-terrain vehicle, on his Buckinghamshire property when the accident occurred, according to publicist Cindy Guagenti.
His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, she said.
An examination showed Osbourne broke his collarbone, six ribs and a vertebra in his neck, according to Guagenti. He was in surgery Monday evening at an undisclosed English hospital.
The operation was intended to lift the collarbone, which was believed to be resting on a major artery and interrupting blood flow to his arm. Surgeons also were trying to stem "some bleeding into his lungs," Guagenti said.
Osbourne was taking a day off from promoting the United Kingdom release of "Changes," a duet with his daughter, Kelly, when the accident occurred.
Guagenti's office said no further information was immediately available.
"The Osbournes," the MTV reality show featuring the rocker, wife Sharon and their children, started production about a month ago on its third season, scheduled to begin Jan. 13.
It was not immediately known how the accident would affect production or how or whether it might be included in the series, an MTV spokeswoman said Monday.
On Saturday, a story on the Los Angeles Times Web site reported Osbourne's claim that he was overprescribed a variety of powerful anti-psychotic and tranquilizing drugs by a Beverly Hills doctor.
Osbourne said he developed a 42-pill per day habit that accounted for his odd behavior on the hit MTV show, including scenes in which Osbourne was seen mumbling, falling and appearing disoriented.
Last month, Osbourne told a British newspaper he'd been sexually molested as a child and suffered emotional effects from the abuse long into adulthood.

LOL,
The Hayabusa/ZX-14 love-hate relationship is super lame, the main guys that promote this bullshit can't ride either bike to its potential anyway.
And yes I own both bikes.

I think stock to stock or mod to mod the bikes are pretty well equal in performance. It all boils down to who pulls the trigger first. Over the long haul though I think the ZX14 is more comfortable to ride. Plus you can get full hard luggage for the 14. Not so much for the Busa. There is more than just drag racing to owning these bikes. Over the open road and chewing up the miles is their real purpose. Dragging is just a small niche.
It is a free world we live in. Spend your $ the way you want for what you want. All this trash talk is just that-trash!!

I'm the kinda guy that expects alot. After hearing all the hype.....when I got my first gen busa brand new I was pretty disappointed. I do live at about 4500ft up...but I've also had my busa down by sea level, and it never accelerated near as hard as I was led to believe. The only time it really impressed me was above 140...then it ripped My 14 pulled the way I expected the busa to run lower down, although in the upper triple digits the busa pulls just as hard as the 14. Its VERY obvious that the first gen busa was designed for top speeds as its main goal...more so even than lower speed acceleration. It actually still runs the same top speeds as the new busa and 14. My busa's a great 2nd bike....smooth, torquey, great handling, and is great as a 2-up bike with the wife. But if I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy another The thrill factor I need in a bike just isn't there in the busa......its the most ridiculously fast bike thats ever bored me I can say I prefer my busa over the 14 for very aggressive canyon carving tho And the build quality/durability of my busa is the best of any bike I've ever owned But the 14 is hands down the better everyday and long ride bike....wayyy smoother, more comfy, and feels like a much lighter bike riding it than it really is And the new busa is actually just the old busa with more power, diff bodywork, and better brakes and suspension. Same frame/rake/trail, same engine with internal tweaks. Felt heavier to me than my gen 1 and had the same racer crouch that hurts longer rides for a tall guy like me. I think they're both great bikes, they just suit diff people. Personally I think Suzki's have a bit better build quality...but I've always seemed to go back to kawi because they just give me what I need in a bike........big thrills when I twist the throttle, and boatloads of adrenaline rushes through the whole ride
Of course neither bike was truly fast enough for me stock, so the 14's getting a turbo and the busa is piped/pc'd/filtered/geared wayyy down and derestricted. Just the way they shoulda came from the factory
