launch rpm extended?

hey guys,
Coming up to the Mirock on sunday and was wondering where you launch rpm is at? I know its diffrent for everyone, when i was stock wheelbase i left at 2000-2500 and it worked well. A few weeks ago i had 2 passes extended 64" stock 17t front and 3 up in the back, first pass i blew the tire off (brand new michelin still had the wax from the mold process) second pass i warmed up the tire alot and it hooked i left at 4k i was shocked to see the bike bog a good amount only netting a 1.61 60ft.

I leave at 7grand at 64'' on a power race, but you dont want to burn it to much. I have the best luck running 22lbs and on the burn out i heat one side' count 123,then the other' count 123 and then just let her pull herself out of the box. If you burn the center much i cant get it to hook, but do it right and bang 1.38-1.42 60's consistantly. I like the pr3 compound race michelin, but i don't like the fact you can only get the pr3 or the new compounds from one or two people. I like for someone to explain to me the top secret sales crap behind these tires!

At 62 inches I left at 4000 and pulled 1.43 to 1.45 60 fts. It's not what you leave at but how you leave is the key. It's hard to explain with typing but you can leave at 2500 or 7500 and how you apply the gas and let the clutch out the outcome can be the same.

yes 2000 rpm and i have pulled best of 1.55 60ft on stock w/b and went 9.26 w 1.62 60, like the person above me said its not about what rpm you leave its about how hard you twist that throttle i guess i shouldnt even asked this question i kinda knew i was going to get different answers, i know what i need to do is to get on the gas harder.

thanks bill,
Yeah i got the pr3 180/55 the reason for a long burnout is i was told the first time out you have to burn it up pretty good to get teh wax off it, i'll see what i can do tomorow if i can get in the 1.3s this thing def going an .80 maybe even a .70

well got a few runs in at mason dixon, track isnt best but i wasnt going to go to MIR 100miles away to wait 5 hours between passes.
First pass looked promising
1.62 60ft
5.96@123.9
9.18@151mph
a few 9.1s and then
1.47 60ft (left hard and then i had to control about a foot high wheelie all the way through 1st)
5.87@121.9mph
9.09@148.5mph
Still getting a hang of this set up but this Tire is hooking great heating it up per bills directions, about 2 sec per side then roll out.
