a friend just bought a new 1000 v strom...
does anyone here have any experience with this bike or know some performance advice or goodies i can recommend? there is no v strom forum on this site and i knew i had read some posts where someone had one as a primary or second bike. my guess is that it is a versatile good handing bike. i know this is a 14 forum, but there are some good opinions to be had...........

I have had two vstrom 650s and love them my buddy has a 650 right now. They are great all around bikes go to yahoo and type vstrom forums and 2 or 3 will come up. I would have never got rid of my last on but with the new son I just don't get to ride to work that often.

its the regular SV1000 (Christof and Donna) and several more have SV650's . Its close enough!
