Quick question going to do a little st racing need a little bit of information.. Notice I did not say street

Will be going against a R1 04 and a Suzuki 08 1000 ... My weight 220 pounds and they are weighing in at 180 tops... R1 370 pounds .... Suzuki 376 pounds.... my bike 445 pounds .. my horsepower without nitrous 173 .. I was told the R1 has about 157 hp and the Suzuki is at 161 hp... What gear ratio would give the best run 18/41 OR 18/44 ..
or keep a stock 17/41 it will be on a roll from 60 which gear ratio would have the most power in third-Gear?

Let's not make this a bashing thread...
I only have two hours?

Only had four hours sleep and that was Tuesday night...

Spank you for all your help...

First off, forget the 18T countershaft sprocket. That will slow your acceleration.

Drop a tooth up front, to a 16. It will help a lot. Of course, if you don't have a speedohealer, it is going to drop your top speed way down. Or you can file off one of the points on the sprocket nut (for the speed sensor).

Just got back and checked my e-mail.. I'm extremely exhausted.. Tomorrow I will post up videos etc. I just want to contact some of the guys before posting videos to get their approval..which I don't see any reason why I wouldn't be able to post videos .. some are pitch black and all you see is headlights . Which I agree that was totally nuts.. Stay safe guys and I'll post back soon..

I'm not even going to attempt to read this thread..
I'm just going to post ..

R1 did not show up 08 Suzuki beat me by two bike links.
The Suzuki was geared with a high front sprocket..

Raced another identical Suzuki it was geared lower.. it was neck and neck until third gear..

One modified with head work ZX10 was able to beat the Suzuki.
The Suzuki's front tire was at the back of the zx10's back tire..

The racing lasted until two in the morning.. I headed back alittle earlier apparently two bikes collided on the way home which trying to get all the information I forgot about posting...

It's a little time consuming I'm creating my own video upload to integrate into my website..
Once it's together this week and I've uploaded the videos I will embed the videos so all can view..

If anybody has a stock motorcycle zx14 with no head work or internal modifications and would like to race the 04 R1 and 08 Suzuki on a Friday night or on a Sunday morning..
Go ahead and PM me and I will give you the directions...

Hell, I believe it. When I first got my 14, I did a 60-80 roll on and was like WTF? My old 99 XX Blackbird would have kicked its ass in a 60-80 mph top gear roll on. I even posted something about it on this site and nobody said anything. Nope, I don't think that is the 14's forte. I just drop it to second and things are a little different!
