Adjustable Kickstand
I found a great string started by Kawabonzai regarding adjustable kickstands and he was told to get one from Spencercycle.com which I must admit has some pretty good prices. Thing is the adjustable ones are pretty big looking and I would like it to blend-in so here are my questions for you guys:
1) Can I have these adjustable kickstands powder-coated to help them blend with the bike?
2) Is it better to get an adjustable kickstand or just to do the stock kickstand fix where you grind down the stop?
3) Has anyone had an adjustable kickstand fail?
You guys are terrific! Thanks in advance for your ideas!

1) I've seen an anodized one, I think powerdercoated may be too thick?
2) I've got 4 of them installed on bikes right now. They work great, imo.
3) Never had one fail (I use the ones from Spencer)

That is at the lowest setting, on my 07 ZX-14.

That's perfect! Are they fairly easy to install?

Yes, about 15 minutes to install. Pulling the spring is the hardest part.

I've got the same kickstand from Spencers. I had it powdercoated black. I absolutely love it. Its rock solid and it sets the bike MUCH better than the stocker/ better angle.
The powdercoating was too thick on the inner(footed) part when I got it back from the shop, a little sandpaper and it slides just fine. It pretty much stays short, but when I do have it extended out, I just cover the bare aluminum with a peice of black electical tape---yes I'm anal. Make sure its prepped correctly by the powdercoating shop--threads are on the inner peice. I will always have an adjustable kickstand.
