Here's one link. http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=37317&set_time= Here's one with pics http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=38944&set_time=1210392922

Having done it myself, all I can say is "piece of cake". Just make sure you have a brand new never used 16+" #2 screwdriver and its easy. a 18" or longer is best. I had two screws that resisted me on the unscrewing, so I used someone's posted advice about first turning it tighter just enough to break it lose then unscrewing it. Worked perfectly! With the added benefit of : when tightening you are using the opposite mating face of both the screw driver and screw. So that if you slip n strip it trying to break it lose, you are not affecting the screws ability to UNSCREW! Think about it. I also had to hold the plates flat with my other hand to keep them from rotating while taking the screws out. Just get the gas tank off (I used cardboard between the tank and frame and set the tank sideways where the seat goes, no problem and no lines to unhook. The access holes are right where your balls sit when you are riding up on the tank.

I did manage to strip the head off of one of my screws. Then I had to pull the throttle bodies. If you don't have steady hands, find someone who does!

I never had to but many have sworn by it.

It's pretty easy to perform this mod. Also, you can look at the "brock pipe and PClll" install packet and it gives details of removing the plastics, and installing the pipe(that's if you're using Brock as your pipe provider). Use these threads we've provided to remove the flys. 1 more note,I highly recommend using a Klein Screw Driver as your tool of choice(#1 bit and total length is 11" but the size request is 8"). There's been a dozen members that have stripped all or some of the screw heads located on top of the butterfly's. None of them were HAPPY

i said fuck it and did it before i even checked for replies lol. I bought an 8" #2 craftsman screwdriver for 5 bucks and it was SIMPLE. All is done now, and i wish that i had done it before i went to the track last weekend lol. All I have to do now is get lowering bones and a strap and I'll be ready for the 31st

Chad, now put a power commander on it and upload the Muzzy slip-on map that I told you about so that you can experience the full power of the Qwick Pipes... then you'll need to grow a larger set so that you can handle that rocket, lol.
Be safe out there Petty Officer.

New member here, thinking about picking up a 14 but not new to the bike community. With the removal of the secondary butterflies is a fueler computer remap necessary? the bike I am considering is "dyno-tuned, with a japanese race pipe, power commander, and K&N filter". I currently ride (and will continue to ride) a Harley V-Rod with thunderheader 2 into 1 pipe, screamin eagle air filter, and PCIII.

you need to remap after fly removal to add fuel down low for all the extra air, or it will run lean.
