gettin air
I rode with some guys yesterday and we ended the day with some stunts at the local dam. I attempted some wheelies and got a couple feet off the ground in second gear and ran out of room. Wondering if that's a good way to start or do I need to practice in first gear?

If you want to wheelie get a 600. Watched one flip at the drags last Friday. I like the 14 because it really doesn't like to wheelie, at least in an uncontrolled manner. Was this a sponsored event or where you just raising my insurance?

Was just watchin friends on their 600's and 1000's and I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not lookin to stunt my 14, just wonderin how people on here do it? I might want to do a few every now and again, it was pretty fun to get the wheel up a little bit.

14's will wheelie easy, either in first gear throttle or I like to clutch them up in 2nd. I can ride better wheelies on my 14 than i could on my 1000s. I know its not supposed to be that way but the 14 is nice and smooth. You should see my buddy riding wheelies on his councours.

Guilty as charged. I do first, second or first to second gear wheelies. I never clutch it. All power.

Clutching it up is the way to go!! power wheelies are to slow and look RETARDED!!!! like the kids on the weenie bikes that have to bounce it to get it up... get going about 45 or 50 in second gear and pull in and let out the clutch in one quick motion and while pulling it in rev it to about 8 or 9000 RPM and have fun and be carefull

Learn to cover the rear brake...learn on a smaller bike.
Four stroke dirt bikes are the best.
the 14 has so much power, when you get close to balance at the top, it is TOOO easy to loop it. Your throttle hand needs to learn to do slow and controlled movements. If it starts to go over stab the rear and it will come back...have fun
