Brocks pipe installed......

I swore I wasn't gonna touch the 14 since I have project bikes already, well I had my fingers crossed.
I've tried several brands of pipes over the years but this thing sounds so good, just gotta get on the dyno for some mapping since I pulled the flies and installed a BMC race filter.
The quality of the pipe was top notch and the fit was great. Brocks supplied instructions made things easy too.
It's almost a shame I gotta blister Zack since he helped on the install !!!!

Hey Lucky14,
I said I had my fingers crossed :-).........I really wasn't gonna do anything but ride the bike then my youngest son Chad said "What are you gonna do when some punk pulls up beside you on a Gixxer 1000" so a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
Dan

87,
When I talked with Brock one thing I stressed was that for my everyday bike I wanted a mellower sound. The 20" can I have is perfect for the sound and at first I was worried it might look too long but on a big bike like the 14, I feel it looks fine.

It has a perfect tone, not too loud but deep, it throws the exhaust behind the bike instead of in the helmet, and it allows one to knee-drag with no worries about exhaust hitting.

what more could you want

Steve, how is the length between the 18" and 20" gonna affect knee dragging? The 18 is not lower!! LOL!!

He does! How short do you want?

Listed on Brock's site is the "shorty" Gen 3 available in Titanium, CF, or Aluminum.

It's 14 inches long.

I just saw that!! I haven't been on that site since the summer. At that time, and with speaking to Hindle about it, Brock seemed to only like to use the long mufflers!

14" is too small!! LOL!!!

LOL! My problem is, there is not a commmunity of ZX14's around Toronto!!

Yes, I really can't decide!! Stick with my slipons, get M10, or Smeg. I have not seen the other pipes in person on a 14, ever!!!

OldKawboy, your bike looks great too!! Sorry, I hope I'm not stealing your thread! LOL! dubious knows I am undecided!!

(dubious, I bought a used LCD for the PC! gonna put it on my sled, and then the bike in the spring!)

The muffler you really need has a turbine in it!

Save your money till you can afford a $4000 exhaust! :P

I know, I love that Muzzy setup. On the other hand, for the same money I can put a turbo on my snowmobile.
I can go WFO on the snowmobile on anyday over a 4 or 5 month period...the bike on the other hand, LEGALLY, I can NOT speed anywhere except the track!!

But I think the bike turbo does take a priority over the sled....
