New Brock Prototype

I just installed a set of prototype silencers from Brock for my dual megaphones. They were designed to use on either the dual slip-on's like mine or the full megaphone system. They allow the bike to run very much like it did without them but with much less noise....slightly louder than stock. They are easily removed...loosen 2 set screws...so they can be used for long street rides when less noise is sometimes preferable and then removed for racing....all without changing the map.

These are the prototype. The final product on my bike will be black anodized to match the ceramic coating and have the Brock logo.

I wanted the improved power and looks of the Brock megaphones, but I do enjoy less noise on long rides.

They are slipons with the stock headers. Brock has only made 2 of these so far. He is thinking about offering the dual megaphones for people who want to keep the dual pipe "look". Power and handling were both improved with the new exhaust..

I really like the smeg, too. Here's a clip of the sound of the duals.

Kind of like my S-meg, Go figure :P

Now Ann... Take that bike to a curve and scrub in those tires.
Here is a pic of my wife's ZX 636 tire after her 1st track day, she did not think she could do it.

Who cares if a street rider isn't riding on the edge of the tire ???

Lower grades of asphalt, 100's of oil and or coolant dripping cars running over the same spot day after day...Bad idea to try and do that on the street....

I'll repost a pic after my mountain trip in May and the Jason Pridmore School at Jennings in August.

I agree. I'll leave the scrubbing of the last 1/2" of tire to the track especially since the State of Florida doesn't feel that some of our few curvey county roads need much upkeep.

It's alll good....

ALWAYS ride within your limits. Road conditions change from morning till nite. You will get them scrubed in soon enough. I live in Arizona where twistys are from good to outstanding. I grew up in Illinios where the only curves were 90 rights or lefts at the edge of a corn field.

Come to Az my wife and I would be glad toshow you around

Thanks. We have been wanting to take the bikes West. It's great you have such wonderful roads to enjoy. We get to the mountains only once or twice a year and the 14 hasn't had a chance to go....yet.

Thanks again for the kind offer. If we do get out your way, we'll take you up on it.

Ann/Kent,
the bike looks and sounds great!

Any chance you can soundbite with the inserts?

Awesome! Clearly the best of both worlds.

Now all Brock needs to do is develope a full system with the duals that comes with an available cap for one end so you could loose the weight of one can and go racing on the weekend.

I know that it's not as easy as i make it sound but I'm sure the preliminary investigations into R & D might be worth a look see.

That's why we love Brock. He does what we of limited funds could only wish to accomplish and shares what he learns.
