Power Commander ??? ZX-10 or ZX-14
I found a local dealer with a PCIII for the ZX-14 but have questions whether it's the re-pinned version of the ZX-10 or a true "made for ZX-14" unit. The package reads out the true part number and description of 224-411 and reads ZX-14 on the package BUT the sticker on the unit says it is a 221-410... Is this one of the infamous re-pinned units ???
It's not a "MAJOR" deal, just want to be sure what I'm possibly buying.

#411 is the internals and cabling for the ZX14. You have a ZX14 unit.

I'm really not trying to be a pain but are you SURE ???
I have a friend that has had some issues with his and his is stickered 224-410 and in fact IS a re-pinned unit.
224-411 is on the PACKAGE NOT the PC itself...
the sticker on the PC itself says 224-410

Yes, the 224-410 is the power commander by itself, the 224-411 is the kit.

my sticker says 222-411 which is for a 2006 zx10r, the map it came with was for a zx10r stock pipe and filter. (224-411 is for the zx14) is this going to hurt my bike? i loaded a zx14 map it works and runs any ideas?

the ZX14 ignition module should work the ZX10 will not... this is what I have been told anyway but I would wait for verification from Brock or someone who would know for sure

ZX1KR it should work with either, as the expansion port on the PC's should be the same.
Did you get my PM on the Shifter Button?

The zx14 ignition module will work with the zx14 pc only, that's one of the reasons they are taking so long to release it, it will come with new software that has to be downloaded into the zx14 box to make it work, all of us zx14 pc owners got the ignition module install instruction with our pc's stating it will need to be upgraded for the ign. mod. to work, I'm pretty sure this was done because of sells of the zx10r pc that were installed on 14's, it's their way of getting back.

A couple of weeks ago there was a ZX14 ignition module for sale on ebay. 175 dollars. Seemed pretty cheap to me..

They haven't released them yet, only 1 test unit has been made for the guy who gave them a 14 to make the pc/module for so it's either his or someones junk they tried to make work from another bike.
