Crappy night at the drags..And a big tank slapper....
I could not do anything right tonight ...I added some shims to the clutch springs and that made the clutch touchy...I just could not get the right feel of the clutch and could not find the sweet spot ...My 60 footers were off a full tenth....One run i would wheely and the next run i would bog.... Best i could muster was a 6.21@119.. Worst part was my last run of the night I wheelied hard out of the hole and i must have come down a little sideways ...When i hit ground the bike went into a big tank slapper !!!!!I almost lost it..!!! Or i should say the bike almost lost me...
On the other Hand SteveWFL was getting better with every pass he made on his zx14... Once Steve gets his strap and lowering links he will be going even faster...Good job Steve...

it wasn't that bad... recovered from a tank slapper!

I like mine shimmed but with stock wheelbase...not sure. I ran alot of pass's lastnight too. best was a 6.05 1/8 9.42 at 147....1.47 60'. was trying hard for that 30 but..... I think i'm going to give my bike more gear. Pulled the front end down just alittle lastnight and never had traction problems at 18psi. Did 1nasty wheelie, pulled the strap alittle more and it was fine.

Thanks, I'm still real slow but ain't givin' up! Gen3 and PC came in today...I'll look for a strap quickly...
but truth of the matter is with all the negative you mentioned you had going on, you were still among the fastest of the fast out there~!

The only thing I would do to the bike Lee, is try the 16 tooth with the stock wheelbase...

Yea i think your going to have to go with a softer clutch set-up stock wheelbase...or you could pull 1 shim out and try .070. I would give it another go...and if you dont like, pull them out.
