ZX-14 Damper ?

Question #1- Does there exist anywhere on this planet a damper made for the 14? I've checked with all the suppliers and they're be shipping in the next week or two or three or four.

Question #2- As I must have one by August 27th to go to Bonneville can I take any Scott or any other unit and weld it into the tank?

I would appreciate any help from those with technical knowhow.

FYI- Any bike that can go more than 125 mph must have a damper to run at Bonneville.

No Muzzy is three to four weeks away.

How about a universal damper kit? They use to have them in the old days. Any ideas? Salvage yards?

This is a long shot, but since no dampers for the 14 exist yet, you might look at the stock Ohlins on the 06 ZX-10.
With the help of a good machine shop, might make it work well enough to get you by.
Or............................maybe not.
Good luck and keep us informed!!!

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I wanted to thank Rob Muzzy for coming through on a damper/dampner for Bonneville. It's a pleasure doing business with you.

I may come up w/ something myself for the 14. If this happens I will post results & PICS. Have to get some R & D going. So, unfortunately it probably won't be available any sooner than the next guy's.
