LoL mine sat in the dealer's garage for about 20-25 minutes...long enough for me to look at the smaller bikes available to us and a couple of neat jackets....and then and I was out the door

Please look at page nine on the bottom... it is explained completely... I checked mine in 10 minutes... I also taped it up to eliminate the slight vibration talked about in the thread... Below is the start with the date etc...

ZX14 RECALL! Please Read
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our Kawasaki Rep was In today in he recieved a phone call shortly before showing up at our shop that there was a recall on the 14. The tip over switch could come loose and fall off the mounting bracket and kill the bike as you are riding it. Take the windscreen screen off it's mounted under there and make sure your bolts are tight! Mine were, but some must not be or there would not be a recall.

Taped it too - even though the recall was supposedly complete when I picked my bike up on June 20th

Easiest fix in the world, but if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, take it to your dealer. As long as you schedule the visit, they shouldn't hold you up for more than 15-30 minutes.

For the benefit of people stumbling across thread this via Google, etc...
To find out if it applies to your '14, go to this page and enter your VIN number. If yours is included in the recall, it will say:
