Actually, in person the side strakes look pretty good, but I'm probably not the best judge having owned the car that seemed to start that trend.

And I agree about the color match. It would probably help. Black is by far the best looking of the offered colors

Gosh, in person I like the Black, I SLIGHTLY prefer the red but the blue is my favorite. Saying that, a red one followed me home since it was the only one available at the time.

I originally wanted black but took home a blue because that was all that was available on day 1. Now that I have seen them all in person, I couldn't be happier than with the blue

I have to agree - It is a matter of taste. My first bike was a 1987 Ninja 750 I bought in San Diego 19 years ago - I loved that bike - oh and I still have it with over 80,000 miles on it. Yesterday, a dealer in Elizabeth City told me he had a Red ZX-14 - I put a deposit down immediately - I think that RED Ninja ZX-14 is a work of art!!! - I had to have. And, yes, I have a BMW K1200S too along with a Harley VROD - they all have a place in this world.

I have to agree - It is a mater of taste. My first bike was a 1987 Ninja 750 I bought in San Diego 19 years ago when I was flying F-14's (you remember that movie). I still have that bike and it has over 80,000 miles on it, and I drove it cross country in 1993 from San Diego to NYC - awesome experience. Yesterday, I put a deposit down on a bike in Elizabeth City - they had a red ZX-14 come in - I had to have it!!! When I have free time in the next week or two I will pick it up. I think the ZX-14, especially in Red is a Beautiful Bike - And, I have some awesome bikes, but they all have their place including my K1200S and VROD.

So we have someone else who thinks the '14 is ugly, this just makes me so distraught, I'm not sure what to do..............how did we all get tricked into buying these 'ugly' Kawasaki's?

Aren't you guys just beside yourselves that someone who has a Hayabusa thinks your bike is ugly. Kind of like John Merick (Elephant Man) saying the hunch back of notre dame is ugly!

I'll think I'll take my ugly bike out for a rip right now, it's dark no one will see and point their fingers and laugh at me!

Oh the shame!

Busa owners, get a life.............
