wifes screaming eagle vrod vs. zx1400

top gear roll ons against wife 30mph to 60 mph she killed me......damm harleys....I will never live it down. all in fun.I tell her if I weighted 110 lbs it would be a different story.now she thinks shes big stuff now....dont have the heart to beat her!!!!!!!!!!

Harley's are built to accelerate like that... they are torque monsters with large diameter rear drive pulleys.

Try the same thing from 80mph to 120, or better yet, 100-150! Oh, I forgot, that hardley probably can't even break 120...

Vtwins are heavy on bottom end TQ, and that's it...I have yet to see one that will hit 150...screamin' eagle or not...the only one I know that can, is the HD limited drag version...which in stock trim will stay with a 14 on the strip and beat a Busa...maybe that 's what you're talking about?

Besides everyone knows the bike revs slow until around 4500 rpm. It has nothing to do with the torque of the vrod. If the 2nd throttle valve and the mapping would allow the bike to rev faster in low rpm. Im sure there would have been a totally different outcome.

wifes got an 06 se vrod...orange.she will never see 150mph on it. we like to drive slow under 100 mph but we love the power

Don't post stuff like that .... roll on at 30 mph in 6th gear!!! Damn you know the Busa guys will see that and it will end up on the Busa boards that a Vrod kills the zx14...Next time we heard about your story it will be ( Vrod kills the zx14 30mph to 186mph ) But then again all the Vrod guys will want to race us for money thinking they can beat a zx14...lol ....We could use the money for more mods !!!!! lol...

dont tell me ....tell my wife....I got her back good. we started out in first at 45mph and I let her get the jump on me.when she shifted to second I blew by her so fast she almost fell off her bike..........whos your daddy now.................................zx1400

Hmmmm...V-Rod against a 14...lemmee see now.....oh I got it, all the Rods in the world won't touch the 14 (except maybe the VRXSE Destroyer, which ain't street legal anyway)...my wife rides the 05 R1, a little more fair of a race (you think?).

I was in Bradenton back in February with my 60" 12...This guy had the Destroyer and was all happy that he ran a 9.46 @ 143... I was there looking at my time slip after the pass I just made he said what did you go, I said 9.31 @ 151...So he says ohh, you have a motor huh, I said no it's stock, just have a pipe and gearing at 60" wheelbase and use mr9 fuel...He didnt believ me...This guy knew how to ride and wrench...I said to him Im sure you know how fast the Busas are right, well this is just as fast...So he asked another guy and he confirmed my times to be true...

We could buy a 2006 ZX10 and 14 with pipes, slammed and gearing for the price of the Destroyer and still go faster with either bike!!!

What a waste of $$$ the Destroyer is...But hey it's a cool looking DragBike and it's AMERICAN MADE...

Lotta cash for a drag bike....considering the stock 12/14's and Busa's will eat 'em at less than a 1/3 of the price...

I personally think the destroyer is a joke. And all the mags raved about it for how many issues, Set a busa, zx10, gsxr1000,zx14 up the same way with bars, slick, air shifter,two step and watch it get beat in the ground.

Untill they started buying there way into nhra they could not come close to making a show, untill they got everthing they wanted rule wise, then nhra drops suzuki as there major sponsor and goes with harley. Good thing they have lots of money to fill the nhra's pockets or they would still all be packing up on saturday night!

Stock standard V-rod is geared for 138-140mph. It'll only do 140 with a pint sized pilot balled-up behind the bars.

Mine would only do 135 and thats with a pipe, filter and download, and so much wind it felt like it was going to wrap my legs around my neck at any given moment.

Correct me if I am wrong and sorry for being anti SHIT BOX, but...in this thread, I heard Harley Davidson, American Made, and V-Rod all in the same sentence. Sorry, but that piece of shit was designed and built by PORCHE!! Harley couldn't compete with the Japanese if it's company name depended on it. Well,except the XR750 in Flat track racing. Case and point...how did that Multi Million Dollar VR1000 AMA Super Bike plan go???? Couldn't get it done...closed the doors on that shit box. And, just to rub it in their face..Honda and Aprilia come out with a V-Twin Super Bike and won Championships in their first year.
Sorry, but when I see Harley Davidson on the side of a V-Rod, I can't help but LMFAO!!
