Gonna have to change your sig then...
Seriously though, don't give up just yet. We are *just now* getting real delivery estimates from KMC indicating that each dealer will have one bike within two weeks. If they don't come through this time, I'm sure there were be plenty of people jumping ship...

I already told Kawi to screw themselves. Picked up my deposite from the dealer and bought a 06 Electra Glide for me and the wifie. I will keep my 12 for me.
All the other manufacturers are talking about 07 already. Kawasaki has not delivered there 06s yet.
WAKE UP KAWASAKI, YOU ARE MISSING THE BOAT.
Im not saying I won't get a 14 eventually but for me the wait is over.
See ya Kawasaki, you really blew it this time.

I just got off the phone with a dealer in Madisonville Tn,and the owner who i have known for some time, said they had over 30 people nationwide on a waiting list for the 14.Now i dont think Kawasaki wants to lose you business, but it looks like demand will be greater than production. You might want to hang in there at least a couple more weeks.I have allready decided to wait until next year at least, mainly because i never buy a new model in the first year and second i have reached a point on my 02 12, mileage wise, that i cant get anywhere near what its worth to me.It still runs like the day i bought it and looks great, but 40 thou miles seems to scare the shit out of prospective buyers since most of the sport bike they have seen have been ragged and dropped within the first 5k miles

Doubt you'll be passing him on the R1 with your 14...the R1 ain't no slouch and in the corners, you will get murdered on the 14 by the R1...R1 - 14...difference would only be the rider. I have the 05 R1 and same year 10R...so I'm speaking from experience...

Brain,
I know the feeling $2700 for a 02 VFR with 81K. Truth is I'll bet my VFR is in better running condition than any VFR with about 25,000 miles. I'm a bit anal about maintenance and take care of things when they fail. Funny how a wrecked VFR on ebay pulls down 3 grand and a near perfect VFR with 81,000 miles pulls down 2700....go figure.
Rob
By the way I'm keeping both bikes.

I'm talking straight line and the r1 is not even in the same league as a zx14 there, I got mine for drag racing, as for corners my 250 Superkart with a 2002 TZ250 on it will lap your r1 in the corners all day long, just go online and look at the lap times at Laguna Seca for the 240+hp Moto GP bikes compared to the 250 superkarts and you will see what cornering is all about.

Anyone riding in my parts of the country will not be blowing off 14's on their literbikes for very long ....if they are.
no tracks around here, only streets.
The straights are alot more abundant than corners and pavement is garbage.
They would have to have bigger balls than brains.
I would guess a literbike passing me in a corner will be picking the pieces off the ground before long!

I guess tommy will be upset when he buys a ZX10 or R1, Then the 14 comes out the next week and kicks everybikes ass on the street and drag strip
OK, tommy let us know how the small bikes are

bishop i'm from the charleston area, i went to velocity in summerville today, they told me
that a kawasaki rep will be there tommorow, i will be there to tell him how disappointed i am
with kawasaki for not giving the information about their new bike. i'm also going to tell him
that the small guys make the big guys.
if kawasaki doesn't care what the consumers thinks or feel, it's only a matter of time before
they become a company that was!!!! it doesn't take long,. word of mouth goes a long way!!!
i think i'm the biggest promoter of kawasaki products, i could easily promote one of the other manufactures. and just think i'm just one person, if everyone that kawasaki pissed
off took that stand, they'll be out of business before the summer!!!!!
i got alot of friends kawasaki!!!!! lol

The latest news I've heard is that they have them in Kalifornia in the warehouses but they are waiting for sufficient quantities so as not to have to skip dealers. In other words, not enough to send at least one to each dealer.

They are all simply toys, not refined like a ZX-14. The 502 bike is just a cruiser lacking traction but if you like smoking tires at 50 mph it's hard to resist . . . it just puts a smile on your face while blowing TONS of hot air on you. The trike will pretty much kill any street-able bike but is TOTALLY unsuitable for twisty roads at much above legal speeds. The wheelie bars are definitely essential when you use the 700 hp available using the nitrous and when the Hoosier racing tires hook up. Previous owner claims 7.07 @ 202 mph in the quarter, but I have no desire to test this claim. It's actually my wife's toy so the 2-20 lb. bottles are really for show now. The turbo 6 cylinder Kawasaki is just plain EVIL and unpredictable. A roll-on at 65 in 3rd makes for unpredictable wheelies but I must say that the 5th gear roll-on performance at 150 mph feels like the stock V-Max in 1st.
I'm mostly into collecting armored vehicles and with 2 small children my motorcycling tends to be just above the legal speed limit, with the occasional flick of the wrist for fun. I've always been partial to Kawasaki and I look at the ZX-14 as what would be a very pleasant and fun bike for when I want to get more than 15 mpg and go for longer distances.

Stalwart! You da man! That turbo kz1300 - ever think about selling it? When I was working at Kawasaki of Charleston in the 80's, we dressed up a KZ1200 as a GPz1300R. Put a MTM cylinder and piston kit in it, fun fun!

Sick fucking bikes them Hoss's...but they make me smile every time I see one...saw a Hoss with nitrous on an SRT10 motor at Day-tuna this year...with a 300 on the back while the wife was riding the "small" 350 chev block...very cool -- and she had no issues handing that puppy either..enjoy the 14 when ya get it (soon I'm sure).
