It's lucky for us that Kawasaki used smart engineers for the rest of the motor but such a dumb one on the airbox (also known as the "frame") that a simple change yields an extra 11 or more hp! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry if this sounds like a challenge, BUTT.....

If you know the numbers "are" real, then why don't you know "how" they are real?

We've seen this claim before here with no explanation - where/who/what specifically did your info come from?

I don't doubt this mod. I've heard that the 3 bikes that are around the country in the hands of the tuners made 180+ in stock form.....I would think they had this mod done to them.

Completely stock form?

Or stock with bolt ons?

An exhaust system, PC, stacks and some MR9 would easily make 180 if the bike was mid/high 160's "completely stock".

I'm not a troll, I've been doing research on the 14 for quite some time and I didn't want to join untill I found some hard evidence that this bike is going to live up to all the hype. I just sold my R1 and have placed my order for the new 14. I just would like to know what this airbox mod entails that way I can do it to my bike when it comes in. I've seen the real numbers but no ones letting the cat outta the bag on what they do to the airbox...they just showed me the results of bone stock and bone stock with the air box mod. If I knew how to do the mod I would've posted a thread stating "how to mod your airbox for incredible hp gains"

YOU are obviously the ONLY person who has seen these before and after dyno sheets, it will be up to YOU and nobody but YOU to find out what YOUR sources did to the motorcycle that produced the dyno sheets that YOU saw.

How on earth would you assume that we would have any idea what YOUR secret airbox mod is?

Its the AIRBOX MOD..........you really haven"t heard have you. You take 4 pieces of 3/8 in. flexable plastic tubing (garden hose will work just fine), stick one end into the throttle bodies each and route the other ends out thru the A/F (cut 4 circular holes in A/F with hole saw), and proceed out thru the intake screen ( again use hole saw) and you will want to cut the ends of said garden hose so the it protrudes 1 in, past the end of the nose of the fairing. It's called the MOD for short.
