zx 14 exhaust..

I was just reading through a new motor mag and seen where they done a shootout between 7 different exhaust on a gsxr 1000. I thought it was interesting that the TiForce made the most HP and was almost the lightest. I wonder who's going to be first on the bandwagon with a full exhaust for the 14?

I know Rob won't admit it, but my sources tell me he's had the motor for awhile (hp 183), and now has a whole bike (hp 172rwhp stock). Certainly plausible numbers. Should translate to 185-190 with a Muzzy pipe.....

Again, just rumors until Rob speaks up.....

As Doug knows, it's always a big risk making tooling from a pilot production bike. We've all been burned on that at one time or another (ie: bracket location change).
Just like on the 10, the '06 had a bracket change from pilot to pre-production. So depending on how you designed the exhaust, it could be a fitment problem.

All that being said, I would definetly bet that Muzzy will be one of the first in a box.

Well, let's hope that that's not right, because Muzzy's -- on their site anyway -- gives STD figures not SAE, and further some would say their dyno seems a little high-reading compared to some others and perhaps compared to average. So rather than looking at the pure number, ya gotta look at how it compares to other runs on the same dyno.

Muzzy's gives 163 hp for the stock ZX-12R, and accordingly 172 stock on their dyno would be only a 9 hp increase: though that is not an unreasonable possibility for the increase whatsoever, indeed Kawasaki has mentioned only 8 hp, still more had been hoped for.

Or for that matter Muzzy's gives 183 hp for the ZX-12R with their pipe and a PC, so 185-190 on their dyno for the ZX-14 with a pipe would be only a 2-7 hp improvement, again not as much as many had hoped for.

4-1 total pipe out of titanium, can out of carbon could make it lighter
Better extra hp is gained using a turbo
I wonder if the blades can be adjusted in some turbo models
