Who is trading their 12 in for the 14?

Who plans on upgrading their 12 to the new and improved 14?

Probably no one will say or think yes unless having more information, like at least hearing about somebody that heard about somebody that rode it, or knowing things like does it weigh 600 lb curb weight or 460 lb... I would not get rid of my present bike for it but I might add it but whether I did would depend on things like how heavy or light it may be, which are unknown.

Could free me up to keep the 12 in a hotter state of tune, keep the race cams in it after Maxton vs switching back to the street cams, for example, have a bike with rubber that will last for a while as well as a bike with stickier but short-lived rubber, something fast but also suitable for longer trips, something that can go 2-up if needed whereas the 12 is being modified where it can't (lighter subframe), etc.

Tough call... it would be difficult to get me to move "up" from the 10R... After being spoiled by the light weight the 14 would have to have over the top arm-wrenching power to get me to switch..

pretty tough sell IMHO.. the 10R rides like a dream... I am extremely happy with it...

Honestly I was hoping for a bike that had about 50 hp more than the 10R but only weighed, say 40 lbs more... this looks like it doesnt fit the figures... we'll have to see ...

I think the 14R is not even aimed at moving anyone from their 10R, but adding it to their garage collection.

Everybody is talking weight? Are there any numbers yet? This bike is clearly designed to go against the busa. IMHO the 12R and busa are like apples and oranges anyway. So comparing the 14 to the 12 is just wrong. If it replaces the 12 which I hate to say it probably will I amung everyone will hate it. The size comparo on another thread was cool. Not as big as I thought. I just want some damn numbers!

I will wait for the B model...... in the mean time my 12R kicks plenty of ass (including buglys) to hold me off till then.

I'll just have to rearrange the garage a bit to make it fit, right next to the 12R

You all took this question regarding the 10, but look again and I ask about trading in your 12. I dont think Kawi brought the 14 to replace the 10, but to revise the beloved monocoque frame and replace the 12.

I hope no one is "silly enough" to trade a bike in. If you're gonna give your bike away, at least give the classifieds a chance.

I try to never sell a bike. In fact, the only one I've sold was a 92 zx-11 (for the '12 actually) but I like to keep em if I can. I may get the '14 though - gotta see it at the bike show in NYC this winter etc etc.

buglys = EyeAbusas?

If you like to go FAST, (and not do trackdays) the 14 will be very cool!

"Me" really does speak volumes!

I don't think KHI is F@#king around this time on what this bikes purpose is. They wanted to do something like this back in 2000. They were worried that the public would not like the purposefull looks.
