But will it buff out?

One minute I was riding... next minute I was on my ass... how stupid! Parking lot... travelling 10 mph max... huge patch of light gravel that was so slippery you might as well have been on ice... wasnt braking.. nuthin... just riding in a straight line... Totally over the top... bike rolled into the gravel and slammed itself down on top of me AND HARD... good thing I had all my gear on... total bummer about the bike

Oh well... at least I can laugh about it...

Fuck... wish I had frame sliders

55028/G cntr cowl
55028H lwr cowl
55028-0005-7F upper left cowl
16146-0023-7F rear tail
13042-0010 weight
46092-0006 Clutch lever
13236-0063 shift lever

Do you think it will buff out?

Oh yea there's a bracket under the fairing where the top and bottom meets that gets tweeked as well don't forget it. It bolts to the motor on the left side there. It's cheap and trying to figure out exactly how it once was isn't worth the cost of a new one.

Sorry about the damage. How exactly did the tail section get so fucked up? It looks like one of those dolls where you squeeze it and a big 'ol snot bubble comes out of the nose...oh wait, that's the factory seat cowl. Nevermind.

well... I can tell ya one thing.. wearing gear really counts... hit the ground hard and not a mark on me...

ya... frame sliders... right... and ya.. the bracket... Yer right about that I suppose....

I havent taken her apart yet, but I was thinking about bending that bracket back in shape... I guess I'll add it to the list along with a coupe of bodywork screws that have flattened themselves down to nothing!

Frame sliders don't protect the plastics on that bike...mine went over at 2-3MPH and whacked the top front faring, mirror and clutch lever, with the frame sliders...but the sliders didn't get a mark.

oh man, that sucks fish......on one hand, glad it was slow speed and you weren't hurt, on the other hand, not much of a "glory" story is it.......
I know how you feel, my old bike, one week after it's new paint job, stopped at a intersection, foot slid on that same kind of sandy stuff, I dropped it.....was madder than a wet hen at myself........shit happens

Fish I believe that bracket number is 11053B... It's located in the cowling lowers section. BUT it's all alone there and the number don't connect. BUT it seems to match up to it by description.

on getting hurt:

I suppose if you werent wearing any gear you'd be pretty chewed up... shows how wearing gear is helpful even at ridiculously low speeds... on the other hand crashing at an embarrassingly low speed (walking/jogging pace) and wearing no gear and turning your hip into hamburger meat would be even gayer
