...uh...houston....we have a problem....
...was riding on surface street to vary the rpms...estimated speed 25mph...
...see truck in front of me slow down to make right turn into business driveway...
...observed other stationary truck at driveway with what appears to be his intention to enter the roadway in the direction of which I just came from...
...I continue my path...and....
...stationary truck is no longer stationary and has entered the roadway...he does not see me...
...I remember trying to create distance between his front end and my front end...
...too late...I feel the sensation of a 6 million dollar man low-level flat spin as my now-more-than-mile ZX-10R and I are separated from each other...
...I hit the road hard, the wind is knocked out of me, my right ring finger is throbbing, my knees are immobilized by intense pain, and my left shoulder feels as if its encased in hot lead...
...I never saw the bike after we departed company, but the emergency personnel at the scene was of the opinion that the bike is totaled...also, helmet damaged, leather held up with minimal abrasions...I sustained a fractured clavical, right ring finger fracture, two bruised knees, strained muscle on both inner thighs...
...police report taken and I cannot comment any further...
...still, life is good, I hurting pretty badly right now and typing w/my right index finger...my dog's still a good boy...and my girlfriend still loves me...
...gonna go rest now...it was quite an evenful day for the worm....

SHIT! it somtimes makes you wonder why you bother, I finally figured out why most people drive 4 wheelers. They don't possess the brain function to balance on TWO Wheels and this story just shows I am right. Glad to hear you are OK ( relatively ) the bike hurts but you can always replace it, body parts are a little harder to come by!
I subscribe to the theory that all other road users (and some riders ) are brain dead to me and treat them accordingly, so far it has saved me from going down. Get well soon.

I'm sure you're not joking, I just can't believe this happened..... So very sorry to hear this. Hurry the F-up and heal. Fix that thing and/or get another one. And try it again. Unbelieveable.....

Wow!! For the last year and a half I have followed every thread ever created on this site and have gotten to really know all the people here just reading what they have written. I know worm waited a long, long time for that bike. Get's on it, rides down the street and some schmuck has to take away what he has been dreaming about for a VERY long time. I'm glad your ok. I hope you ruin that prick in the truck and make him realize what he could have taken from the world. get well

Mario - man that really sucks. Dino is sitting bout ten feet from me, filling out the sponsorship form for the ride tomorrow. We are both in a state of shock, and are really bummed out hearing bout this. But hey, like you said, life is still good. Hope that you get back up on your feet soon, and are able to hunt down a replacement bike soon. BTW - If you get a chance to buy the bike back from the insurance company, Dino's interested (the vulture! *heehee*) In any case, rest up, get healed up and hope to talk to ya soon.

Worm, I'm still sitting here just shaking my head and waiting for you to jump in and say 'just kidding' but I guess not. Get well, the bike is replaceable, human life isn't.
