Got mine done today. Was talking to my sales guy and he said they pulled both their 10s they have on the floor. They storing them out of sight until they have the wheels to fix them under the recall. Very unusual and ethical of them to do this. They could just sell the bikes and mention the recall later after the papers are signed. Makes me feel even better I bought from these guys. They also have one in storage that hasn't been unboxed yet. I can't imagine how much they're losing in money not even having the bikes on the floor. They also could have used my wheel to fix one of the bikes on the floor to have it saleable. But they didn't. Again more kudos to them.

I was in such a hurry, I didn't weigh 'em.
I feel safer on my 10R now.

When there is a "Safety Recall" it is against the law to sale units until they have been repaired.

Not against the law to have them on the floor..................Just can't(not supposed to) sale them until the safety recall is performed.

Yep, stopped by the dealer today. He was whining about guy wanting to buy his last one (green) and I told him go ahead, but if the fucker comes back in a cast, he'll prolly end up owning the place... And he'd get to deal with NHTSA as well. Wonder if there's a Federal Ass Fucking prison anywhere in WA state? Oh yah, McNeil Island...

Kinda makes sense but a member of the other 10 board who is a salesman at a Kawi dealer says he is still selling his stock. He just says they can't take delivery until the wheel is done.

Sure, just as long as they are told the issue up front. In essence, they are just lockin in the deal...

...FLASHBACK!!!!....the recall was the reason I got t-boned over a year ago....I wanted to just take the wheel to the dealer, but the dealer said that since its a recall item he couldn't risk the liablity of an improper assembly...ok, fair enough....so I reassemble by black 1-mile 10R that had been apart and on on pitbulls in my livingroom for some secret-squirrel R&D ....10 miles down the road and my beautiful black 10R is history ....thanks for the memories
