Does it rub on the rear bodywork? I would have expected some rubber contact points to prevent abrasion and to make it more stable.

Since mine will be black, I think I will try putting some edge molding along the sides. That should get rid of the wobble, and prevent chaffing as well. On the green that might not work so well, unless you could find green edge molding.

it's not actually touching anywhere... it just wobbles.

That rear view shot looks weird as hell! Black part of the frame are the eyes, top of the cowl is a big-ass nose, and so on .......If only I knew photoshop

Damn this cowl is just ugly! Sorry just my opinion dont tear me now! I would really like something smaller to go with the lines not that big hump.

Okay... so here's some fast and dirty photoshop... pardon the bad edges, but as many of you remember my brid ate my digitizing puck and this shit is hard to do with a plain old mouse...
So tell me what you guys think .... Does this look better? It would require a trip to a body shop as I believe there are 5 holes drilled in the thing to hold the black pad on...
I also stopped the wobble... problem is the latching bracket circled in red needs to be bent outwards in direction of arrows to put pressure against shouldered edges on it's mating portion in the bike's frame (You'll see what I mean...) Some experimentation and bending eliminates the wobble altogether.
