Not sure what all of that was about...but I certainly know what you fuel you ran in your race bike, and Roy runs E85. No need for us to be "cool", lol. And regardless, it doesn't change the fuel tech....

Anyway, my email is sburton661@aol.com for anyone who wants more info on fuels. As I say, the difference between avgas and VP110 is about $2 a gallon here...why play around with fuels designed for low rpm high altitude use?

When you go to the LSR track, or Dragstrip you will see that few, if any, serious racers use this stuff in their race bikes. For good reason....they choose a fuel that is designed for the operating loads at hand.

Please read my above links on avgas and octane rating info...hope it will help those who are willing to read.

Four points, and then I'm out:

Google is a search engine, not a knowledgebase.
Avgas is for aircraft.
Aggressor's engine is basically stock, and is probably better off on straight pump.
Flame speed and distillation curves are critical to a fuel's performance, and you need to know what those values are.

+1

Dont run AV gas. I could get into why, but dont have the time here now....

13.5 to 1 CR or less in any of these modern sport bike engines late 1990's and newer with narrow valve angles and high swirl or tumble, can run on high octane pump fuel of 91 or higher R+M/2.

MR-12 is about 93 R+M/2 and is ok up to 13.5 to 1 or so.

on the other evil side i burned a lot of avgas through my cr500 (it smells kool also) i know the ins and outs of airplane gas and heat soaking but the bike ran well.
i have some friends that use avgas in there cars. they always use it.none have a problem but they are smart tuners also. some of them are running 14 to 15 to 1 compression and street drive them (9 sec and 10sec cars).
if you do go ahead but i doubt you need it. my zx11 has 205psi and knocked on 93 just a little. i race that bike every weekend at maple grove and found 1 to 2 gal of 100 in the tank would keep the knock away for 3 tanks of 93.
for me it is easy. if i want to run it i drive a couple of miles and get it but like some have said unless you have a high compression bike do not bother.

I don't know jack about fuel, gas, or any other solvent. But I do know that two of the most knowledgable people on this website are Tim and Jim, the third would be Doug who is also a pilot. You cannot go wrong listening to what any of them have to say. This I know for certain without a doubt. I know Shane and Ali also and think they are both great guys and good racers but I think that they both are crazy if they dont agree that Tim , Jim, and Doug are the go to smartest guys around. The advise and help they have given me is priceless and we are very lucky to have access to them to even get their advise. I'm just sayin.............

Shane, you've never run avgas, right? So why you on here talking? Just like to hear yourself speak?

your lack of personal experience with a subject has never stopped you from chiming in, not that I don't value your opinion.
