last time it was dynoed at 104 centerline it was 605hp i think corrected with a lower torque peak of around 595ftlb from 4800 to 4900rpms. it was camd for mid range grunt at the time cause it had stock oiling system and stock rods and crank. (which i thought was kick ass with a all but stock bottom end giving 600hp)
then it also ran about 127 in the 1/4. it dropped a valve and i allowed him to put in a better external oil pickup system and just going .010 over it ran 130 mph and 105 in the 1/8th. there is no way going .010 over gave 3 mph in the 1/4. so i am thinking it was installed at 108 that time (center line).
i am instalaling my tunnelram this time to compare to the single quad. it is a mopar M1 sideways dual quad intake with two 774cfm 650 based doubble pumpers. needless to say i can not wait.
as for hp now i say between 605 and 625hp. anymore to me is extra cause i just want my 10.30s back in the heat. and i want it to stay together this time.
then later we will put a bigger cam close to 270 @.050 lift closer to .700 lift
by the way Y2K JIM and his partner fixed my heads so props to them two for great work at a for me anyway a great price.

You`re fixin to put that in your bike???
I think you`ll need different motor mounts, and some grade 8 bolts....LOL...
All kidding aside....That is a bad ass motor Dennis....
Good luck with it....

Looks goods, very nicely done... Are those indy EZ heads ? I'm guessing they are because of the M1 intake ..
My 500 inch motor was using the 440-1s indys with 225 intakes and 188 exhaust , Indy 4500 intake , 708 roller on a 111 center installed at 106 .MP mega block.. 14.2 J&Es 4.150 stroker crank , Manley pro mod rods .. Made 751 hp on the dyno.. Ran 9.70s in a 3860 pound 63 beleveder..
See the tag ? I drove it on the street on weekends ...lol A little costly running 112 ..

The motor the 500 replaced in my car was a stock block 440 60 over , b1-bs street heads , m1 intake with a holley 950 hp carb .. Crane 600 lift roller ... It ran 10.40 in the heat so your package should run 10.30s no problems in the heat.. I was getting a lot of main cap walk with the stock block so i built the new motor with the Mega block .. I never had that motor put on the dyno so my best guess it made right at 600 HP ..

smoken i had cap walk till we did main studs. i do have a sort of quick ramp cam since we were smart (haha) and did not pick a chevy with dinky lifter bores> lash is 16/18 thou so i can not say i will pick up big time but i think with the big cam next year with the dual quad i will approch 700hp.
i think they are the econo heads though i think they had ez on them and i remember the dyno chart nameing them indy torquer also. who knows they are older like from 1998 or so.
they have the smaller 2.19 valves 1.81 valves in them.
y2k jim said there is more in them if i want to take them farther. he and quist(i think that is the other guys last mame) fixed them from swallowing a intake valve head.
i am building a B block 400 for pulling with cast iron indy heads that have 2.250 valves and 54cc chambers flow 375cfm i am hoping to get close to 700hp.
that car is a bad ass car. i love the older super stock kind of cars.

that is a nice hight (for me anyway) some say we waste et doing that but in the end that is fun and cool and people go to see that.

ok it is not getting dynoed/ the track will dyno it for me. i need new slicks for next year and the dyno price is 3/4 the price of slicks. it is not a new combo so i know where to time it and jet it from last time.
it is now in the engine bay.

doug we just went through over half of a 30 pack of molsen twards the end. but it was run at 2000 rpms delvac 1300 with zinc additive for flat tappets for 20 min. (and a bunch of cool downs till the 20 min @2000 was up)
so beer wise we are down 13 bucks.
it burned 2.5 gal to the drop at 10 bucks a gal
and i just threw away the 45 dollars of oil that was in it on poping the cherry.
was a expencive night but i must say worth it. it sounds great and snap revs very quick.
we lowered the idle twice and now it is at 1500 again and can be lowered.
starting was was 8% leakdown never run and 210psi cranking comp. shut down and all but cooled down at 230 psi. when the rings get a real load it will be above 235 psi so all is back to the way it was or better.
i am FFing stoked tonight.
it even tried to cool when the rpms were turned down to 1200 rpms till it creeped up again. timing is at 34 total for now.
dominator is @ 91 jets square.
Bring it, the 23rd i am on it.
i took a small movie for a sound bite. i will get it on soon i hope.

well it was a great first day.
first pass i just drove it down the track easy and ran a 11.22@128mph
second pass since it sounded good i smashed it and it spun and ran a 10.76@129
third pass i doubble made sure of the tire pressure and it went a 1.49 60ft
a 4.26 330ft 105.05mph 1/8 and a 10.36@129.38
third pass we went up 2 jets caust the wego said it was sort of lean in the front of the track.
it went a 1.47 60ft a big change with the fuel in the 330 at 4.18 did 106.52mph in the 1/8th
and ended up at a 10.208 @130.94mph.
the forth back up pass it was a 1.46 60ft and a 4.17 in the 330 but all this i smashed the limiter in first. it revs real quick from the flash to 6500 and the 7000chip seems to come in at 6800 or so.
so i botched my 10 teen pass there i am sure.
we added more jet and i could not drive it . my shifting was not good so i wasted two runs and then spun on the third.
wow am i busy in this thing till it gets into drive.
i am thinking the converter needs tightened up. i had to use tshults laptop but i think i remember it being less than 1000 rpm drop on the shift. i think it was 800.
