unlikely i'll do side-by-side street racing; but who knows, i've done it before with folks i trusted not to pull bone-headed moves

Karl, do I detect the slightest hint of interest in poppin' your 9/10th's cherry? I will say this much, it's exponentially more competitive and exciting than traditional solo LSR runs.

Being fast on the big end doesn't cut it out there, you've got to be quick on the front end too. It's the only venue that allows for a complete evaluation of the bike and the rider's overall performance.

Come to the dark side of LSR.... you won't regret it.

I'll tell you, if they make it 2 consecutive days it will be a lot more appealing.

yes indeed, it would be better at 2 days; but Jan in Miami, jousting with Sal & Mike will be a blast in any event.

Perhaps one day at the track, and one day in the Wild West of 9/10ths?

I do believe Karl has some expirience with racing 2.5/10ths so the front half shouldnt be an issue (8.790@159.1)

Can you imagine that herd of Kaw's at the dragstrip? A 1427, a lightweight 14, A featherweight stock w/b 12R on Spray, a 10R turbo, a couple of other 12R's...man, that would be something else!

I am quite sure you have already been invited via the "Popham" thread.

You just gotta think about where to stay.

Doing it on the street with lsr wheelbase, lsr tire, lsr tire pressure, lsr gearing, lsr tune, and on regular street pavement with no prep is a tiny bit different...

Karl, I'm signed up. As for loring, I don't think that's going to be neccessary, both record holders (you and ali) will be coming to me.. And I've always felt that if you want to be the man, you've got to beat the MAN, not the record.

Its never been about the mph or setting records for me.. I race for the battle. The only time I bring out the bike is when I'm challenged.
