Popham 2010
So, I was thinking... we should make the Popham Lobster Fest an "annual day after" event.

Well hell yes, we were planning on crashing your place anyway if not invited, lol........ Jim I am still in awe of you but I am really in awe of your great wife! You are truely blessed, thanks so much for sharing your place with all of us TFAers! I hope we didn't leave to big of a mess. It was so great to meet you both and I will always be in your debt for what you have done to help get my bike up and running again. What a great weekemd we all had! And what a grand way to top it off. Your place was remarkable, your hospitality was over the top, I loved the walk we took to the old fort. And spinners was lovely also. It was so great that I would even camp on the "hill" out front if thats what I had to do. lol Muah!

You guys were great house guests and Jaime says you can all come back any time.
So my "biker friends" got the seal of approval for a lobsta fest in 2010 from the boss!!!
Do you realize that we almost doubled the native population of Popham Beach this weekend? Theres about 20 people that actually live here. For real!!!
Dean, I hope the pics aren't used as evidence against us. No underwear shots, drooling, staggering, crawling, etc
The neighbors said they didn't even here us at 2:30am. At one point we were discussing doing donuts with Karl's bike. Mine just wouldn't have had the same effect.
I've got two emails already to reserve tent space on the hill for next year. So we may have several more people next year!!! Popham doesn't know what there in for next year.
Pete, we have a spot for your trailer next year. Sorry you couldn't find the place, the fog was bad Sunday night coming off the ocean. I think you may have gone down to smallpoint RT216 and missed the end of rt 209. 209 kinda takes a left. A little tricky.
As soon as the date is set for Loring next year I'll start planning.
Brenda, Jaime loved the towel, thanks again

We turned around at some historic district.

Was it at the civil war fort near the wharf?
If so you were VERY close. That's where we were right on 209. The fog was brutal Sunday night, you must have missed the bike trailers etc.
Oh well, next year.

Has anyone heard if the Dates for Loring 2010 are going to be the same weekend? July 31st and Aug. 2nd
I've heard that because of a bird nesting in the grass along side the runway that they cant get an earlier date. ??
Where were these damn birds living before the base was shut down in 94?
If they didn't mind B-52's taking off why would they mind this racket we make?

Ok, we are assuming at this point that the Loring LSR will be the weekend of July 31/Aug 1 2010, and we are set for the lobster fest being on Monday August 2nd.
If the dates for Loring LSR race change I should be able to move vacations around with family members to make it work. But were all set for Monday !!
Any board members going to Loring next year are welcome to join us, It sounds like we will have several more people next year.
A few people were asking about the possibility of camping. We have room for several tents at the cottage, and there's a few campgrounds near by and one is a half mile down the road right on the ocean. I'll get phone numbers for them.
We should lock in some rooms at Spinneys and the camp grounds early as that's peak summer vacation time. The campground is full all summer long so I'd book that ASAP if you want to camp.
I hope everyone from this year will join us again.

Sounds great Jim, much thanks to you and Jamie for being so gracious. Leslie & I are campers, so we'll reserve a spot on your lawn if that's alright.

Hey Jim,
Jamie and your hospitality was GREAT, the area is gorgeous, the lobsters & clams delicious, the whiskey plentiful, and the beer cold.
COUNT ME IN
However, this time we gotta stay over on Monday night, not just rush out the door on Mon afternoon. Time with good friends, food & drink is too precious to skimp on.
Can you arrange for a few lobsters this size?
