life or limb
well there hasn't been a poll on here for awhile and I'ld like to see what others would do.Seeing how,if I was to take a spill, I might endanger my mobility for good.how would you decide?I've seen people wipe out on the track and just walk away the majority of times.Do I chance it?

I would personally think riding on the street is more dangerous then at the track...
I would try it and if you feel good then do it! if it bothers you even after a few times then I would not chance it!

There are so many ways to injure yourself. You could spend the next 10 years not riding and only driving 4 wheel vehicles & still get in an accident that can cause you not to walk. It's called living!
The point here is to know your risks & do what you can to minimize the risk. Be honest with yourself. If you go back to racing and the worst happens, can you live with that? Just because you had your hip done doesn't necessarily mean you're any more likely to have a devastating injury. That's just life.
Play what if, what's your back up plan? I already told you mine. If I can't ride 2 wheels I'll try 3. If I can't do 3 wheels hubby will stick my butt in a side hack. But until then, you're going to see my butt on the track & strip. I may not be the fastest, quickest or best but I'm out there having fun, doing my thing, living the dream. It's what I want to do and how ever it turns out, I'll be happy because it was my choice to make & my choice to do.
What ever you do make sure you're doing it for you. Consider your family but make sure they're considering you too! A miserable safe life is still miserable!

Pete...If I were you I would buy a brand new 14...Slam it, pipe it, PC, remove Flies, put an arm on it making the WheelBase 64inches, gearing, sticky tire and only use pump gas...
WHY???....It's alot CHEAPER than cars and You now have a brand new bike that will not break, blow up and throw you to the ground!!!...No need to wrench all the time, just start have fun making back to back to back to back passes down the DragStrip WORRY FREE !!!...Have fun without the stress!!!
DragStrip is way more fun that the street !!!

Rick,I am a little concern considering the 12's habit of throwing rods through the cases.If anything I would go with a slower bike than my 1426.I'm too big and fat to compete with you smaller guys so I would just bracket race.I could be happy just running 10.0's.consistently.

Pete, I only bracket race!!!...I say the nw bike because of you never worrying about the motor breaking...The arm is so you wont flip if you pop the clutch out too fast, unless you get wreckless...
