my helmet expired :(
In Oct, the Texas Mile Tech guy said that my Arai Signet/e helmet was over 5 years old and will not pass tech in the upcoming March event.
sooooooo, time to buy another, and not an easy task with my "XXL long oval" size.
Q: anyone have a better suggestion than to just go buy another Arai???
(apparently the "Profile" series has now taken the place of the "Signet/e" for long oval headed folks like me)

Jim, you will need a new one for the grude race at MIR and if you have any kind of tech inspection at you local track you will need a newer on there also.

Helmet Harbor has good deals.
Bombaybusa on labusas will hook you up too. He stocks alot of good helmets and sells for a reasonable price.
The Service Pavillion has deals on helmets too. I bought an RX7-4rr that was 1yr old (according to the helmet strap) for $350 brand new!

Looks like I'll get an RF-1000 to replace the old RF-800. $330 seems to be typical street price in black.
On another note: why dont they rent real bikes on the caribean islands..
Looks like i'll have to rent another junk HD.

St Marteen.... where the heinekens are cheep. (dutch side)
But of course we'll hit orient beach on the french side too.
But the dutch side has better night life.
I still feal bad for the last HD I rented. It was getting a workout. Powershifting one of those is funny. It thinks its all bad ass making all sorts of noise. Its kinda like renting a mule. To me anyways.
I'm sure that will upset some but it is what it is.

Yea I agree, first impression when holding one is low quality cheep plastic junk.
I guess its because its so light. I've fired about every model they make and let me tell you, an uncompensated 10mm is very snappy when fired to say the least. Hard to get a fast group off. I've never been a glock fan because of the feal and double action trigger. But I let her make her own decisions and she wanted to try one. If the slide release on the sig 229 wasnt so hard for her to work she would have bought it. She is small with small hands and thats a common problem when fitting a woman for a slide gun.
I better fire up the Dillon press now cause she is going to burn threw a hell of a lot of ammo learning to get used to this Glock.
Maybe it will even grow on me... we'll see.
