Stock Dragracing..

Hey Guys..

Wondering if someone could lend me some tips... just got a 04 ZX12 This is my full time street bike but will also see the drag strip 3-4 weekends next summer.
I have a lowering strap for the front end and the adjustable dog bones for the back. I will be running the stock exhaust with the can removed. (No money for a 4 into 1 yet). Besides this has anyone found an ideal sprocket combination? Anything else i should know about before I blow the cobwebs off her??

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY TIPS!!!

Excellent site!!!!

16-44, gives you 1/2 more wheelbase and still use the oem chain!!!

mine runs awesome at 17-50, too much gear for nos though, a lot of wheelspin. Tons of fun on the street though. I miss it having switched back to stock gears for maxton, thanks by the way.

16-44 = 3 teeth up in the back...Perfect for stock wheelbase!!!

Voz, 17-50 = 6 1/2 teeth up...Thats good if your 12 is 62" wheelbase...

I put a question out there for pipes and everyone said that they would go akrapovic. Is the pipe really that much better than the others?? Especially since its a lot more expensive than a Hindle, or whay about a muzzy. Seems that Kwai and muzzy have quite a history.. Just wondering if the akrapovic is worth the extra money, especially when money is short and there's other mods I'd like to do as well..... any insight or experiences would be appreciated.....

What I understand about akra and arata is fit. The welds are great, seamless, and they slide about right on. Took 30 min to put on a akra as compared to 2 hours for others bending and fitting on. The akra makes good power and sounds nice too. I like the way the hindle looks and its power is supposed to be good. The price is better too. Muzzy is good with the pc111. I hear most need a pc111 with this system, but think its prudent to do with most aftermarket pipes.

I would get a Brock Hindle Gen 3... yes it cost a little more but the support is awesome, and you will pick up some MPH for sure...
