Team Clutch did very well at the 1st SEMDRA race at Carolina Dragway...
I thought I would do well in the new 6.00 Ultra Street class after making the latest changes to my ZRX...
I had NO T&T runs with the 3-changes that I made before going to this race and as it turned out...I was wrong...
I thought (HOPED) that lowereing my bike another inch+ (Ohlins Shocks) would make up for going down 2-teeth on the front sprocket (instead of the usual 1 tooth)...it didn't
I was my usual Power Wheelie-ing Fool-self (FUN Fun fun)...with a best-of 6.16 which qualified me 13th in UltraStreet...
I got a .450 light!!! first round to my oponents .520+ reaction but then proceeded to wheelie in 2nd, 3rd, 4th gears to a run-loosing 6.30ET @ 120mph...
The lowereing helped a lot but not enough to over come the gearing change AND Power that my bike was making in the KILLER air that we had all day Saturday...
I did VERY well in Street ET though...making it to the semis by dialing 6.25 and not "trying to rotate the planet" (like in 6.0 class)...
I did several LONG power wheelies in the proccess but ran consistent "enough" to make it down to the last-4 bikes...
On one time-run the front wheel came down right at the finish line with a 6.32ET @ 125mph...LOL...
MAN...do I love this bike!!!
Team Clutch...(N. Florida racers) including ZRXDean, John Upthegrove (ZX1260 204HP on motor, 287hp with 80-dry) and about 5??? other racers)...
3 of the 4 bikes in the SET Semis were...Team Clutch members
Duane Schmidt on his ZX10R, Jay Merrillees on his SM2W built CB1000 and myself on my ZRX Turbo...
I ran Duane...he missed a shift-point badly...I had him covered for SURE but got STOOOped and gave him the stripe by .0025...AAARRRGGG!!!
It was Duane and Jay in the SET Finals...
Jay was Runner-up in Street AND Super Street!!! (6.60 index)...
Jay made it to the final round in SS without ever running better than 6.66!!!
Way to go Team Clutch!!!
Another fellow N. Florida racer Mike Lakoski (not Team Clutch because he has wheelie bars and electronics) WON the 5.60 index class...
Can't wait to go to the next SEMDRA race...
I WILL be ready to run 5.90s (for 6.0 class)...
Thank you Jackie Brice and EVERYONE involved with SEMDRA for making KEEPING these races so much (nothing but) FUN...

That 6.00 class would be fun but the 6.25 would be tough figuring out how to lose 2 tenth consistently..
Congrats. Hope to see you all at Gville on the 27th for points...

I know what I need to do to my bike to get to 5.90s...
I was just too freekin tired to think of it at the race...
Was here till midnight (at least) ALL week on John's ZX1260...
It made 204Hp on motor...287Hp with 80-DryShot...so it was worth it...
We will be at Gville T&T...
I could care less about running points there this year...
I will probly race for another track (against Gville) at the Brkt. Finals

I am making 195 on motor but am going to put a 24 dry shot on it till i get the head done and should make over 200 then (i hope).
One thing is for sure - after 3 times in the motor you learn a good deal about these things.
I am not big on points either but they are the closest for me to race at when i am not on the ship and Sat nights are about the only option. I may do a SEMDRA deal and some 1/8th stuff but the 1/4 is just so much more fun...
