You have to send your OEM basket to Muzzy and they will put the gear from the OEM onto his Billet Basket...Falicon does it that way too!!!...They both charge the same $$$

these are made to crack, and not explode. that is why they are good. now that being said, I believe there was a "single lot" that had an issue with cracking prematurly, and this is just an educated guess but the internal radius where the fiber slots would slide into was a little to deep. now this is in no way saying that someone had a defaulty basket. But i for one have seen one, and I can not remember who it was manufactured by.

I've had two of the billet baskets crack. If those had been stock baskets, I hate to think what would have happened.

I don't know why they cracked, but think it's in the way I was launching, which I am in the progress of changing. Also, I have a 7 inch slick on my bike. Either way, it's better they cracked than exploded.

I bought the basket for my green 2000 ZX12 from Muzzys 5 years ago, still holding up fine with 200-260hp. I bought another basket from Lee's for my silver 2001 ZX12, I'm not sure of the brand but it's definitely different than the Muzzys, it has a different look. It holds up to 300 ponies at the wheel so far no issues. It might be a Falicon unit I'm not sure.

Howdy Buddy, Ralph's basket went on his stock bike a while back. It luckily just took out the cover, but it sure look like it was going to be bad with pieces of metal punched through.

You all are right I had only glanced at the prices for Falicon and Muzzy which are both
399.95 from schnitz racing. I saw the 649.95 price listed for the muzzy, but that was with the adition of the core charge.

You can shop around over the phone and find them for $300-350 with your core, give Lee's a call.
