1260 eh? I've not heard of that displacement before.
is that all crank, no bore? I was wondering because of the good torque you got there!
give us some mph times if it's worthy!

1st run for ME in over a year on the bike...1st run for me ever on this motor that I built for John...
Bike isn't geared right with the Shinko Tire...I had it geared perfect for the Shootout tire...
1.49 60Ft...(MTC MultiStage Lock-up)...
5.91 @ 120mph hitting the limiter hard in 3rd...
I saw the shift light come on early in 3rd but the bike ALWAYS made it through the 1/8 in 3rd with the 17/51 gearing and Shootout tire before...hit the limiter and shifted 4th going through the traps...
2nd run...
1.407 60Ft (my best ever on StreetBike)
5.74 @ 124.65MPH...YEEE...HAAA!!!!!!
Mean Green is MEAN again!!!
Have GOT to run her in the 1/4 now/next!?!?!?

The 9.0 zx12
What chassis modifications have been done to this bike? Any weight added?
Very impressive regardless!
Of interest, why were Carrillo's installed?

Judging by the parts list, I think he was going for extremely light weight rotating mass.
I didn't see any weight on the bike. Just Kevin haulin' some serious ass.
Ask him about getting yelled at by the track manager

9.0 zx12
Are the Carrillo's lighter both in static and rotational weight?
What is the total weight of the bike?
What cams with the headwork?

The rods ARE lighter...so is the crank (Falicon Super Crank) AND pistons...the ballancer is also removed...
Carrillos were installed for Weight Savings...AND we are going to run about 270-280 HP on Spray (total) and it will be raced WEEKLY...I build for reliability...more than all-out power ...
Bike was 525 Lbs last time we weighed it...
It's 700 with ME and a 1/2 tank of fuel...as it is raced...
STOCK CAMS...
Ya...I did a wheelie all the way down the 1/8-mile on my Turbo ZRX and the manager "slapped my hand" (again) ROLLEYES...LOL...
JT said... "if you do that again! KEEP IT ON THE GROUND!!!"
I said..."Oh-MAN???"
He..."DON'T OH-MAN ME!!!"
Me..."JT, you KNOW I'm one of the few people that can actually do that without hurting myself!?!?!?"
He..."I understand that but...when everone else sees YOU do that???"
Me..."OK I understand"
LOL...
FUN Fun fun...

why did you choose the mtc 1260 over the JE 1270 or Wiesco1272?
Are the weights that different, or quality?

MTC has a newer lighter piston now too. Was on display at the Prostar race. Sweet deal on them. If you have a Busa... they are bitchin too!.
Lots of meat above the ring land.

Do you have any weight comparisons to JE and Wiesco?
Do they offer a 1270 version?

I found it.
For those who are interested.
The pro-lites for the zx12 come in 85mm ( 1256 cc) and 86mm (1287 cc).
Weight for the 85mm is 238 grams. List price is $735.
Anyone got a weight on the je or wiesco pistons?
