SUSPENSION WITH 6
I was just wondering what those of you with 6" over arms have done with the rear suspension to compensate for the additional leverage. Until now I have swapped out my rims/tires and swingarm to go to the track. I would prefer to leave the 6" over arm on the bike full time. The problem is that I ride 2 up with my wife quite often. I have cranked my spring preload a few turns but it still bottoms at launch occasionally. The rear of my bike still sits a bit higher than I would like it to also but, to go any lower would just increase my problem. If I never rode 2 up I would probably just live with it but, that is not the case. I'm thinking stiffer spring or aftermarket shock? What do you think????.....STRUT?? LOL

GOT YOUR ANSWER
Dude you just need to use the adjustable links, that way when your riding 2 up. bam your up in the air way up. no bottoming out. and when your at the track Slam your down and ready to go!!! that is what I do anyway!

Good idea Mike! That is a cure for half of my problem but what about bottoming at launch when the bike is still a little high in the rear? Have you done anything to your rear shock?

Hmmm....
Well mine is actually just about as soft as it will go in the spring and mine sits low you can see on the launches my faring is touching the ground. and I have only scraped slightly in the back. Im going to remove my turnsignals. and that should help? also. I would like to go with a fender elimenator kit. and that should get rid of the scraping problem. or your could remove your rear trunk area. and replace it with some aluminum? something like that . Im actually working on that over the next couple of weeks. Ill let you know how it works out.
