Just heard that HD has plans to rebadge rework and rerelease the 1125R as an HD that should be interesting.

Harley is the biggest manufacturer and sells more bikes than any other brand.
Buell wasn't a victim of the economy, they couldn't compete against the others in the real bike arena.

Well I feel with the 1125 if they would have been in other dealer ships besides harley shops they could have competed better. is it a gsxr 1000 or any litre bike no but that was not what it was meant for. And i did go out and buy an 1125cr today and yes it was a blowout price or I would not have done it. bought the last one the dealer had. now there is 3 really different bikes in my garage a zx 14, a triumph thruxton and now the 1125cr.

Ya I mean the 14 is nasty quick and fast we all know that, But I was very surprised at how 1,2,3rd gear wheelies with no clutch is a peice of cake on this bike. it is a real riot to ride.if you guys lived close to me you could all take it for a spin. dealer said for 6 bucks there was a mod to get the throttle bodies to open quicker and I mean I can't go full throttle in first as it is.

Makes you wonder why. I've heard they already have some investors that want to buy the Buell part to keep it up and running but what will harley do.

Harley may be hurting compared to 3 years ago, but they still produce and sell more bikes than any other brand.
And I still hate them.

Last 3 post could not be more wrong IMO with the new 1125, not an antique motor, suspension is fine, and big brake rotor works almost as good as the 2 on the 14 not as good but almost.

it's also a Rotax engine compared to the sporty based engine in the lightning and firebolt. The 1125 is really a bitchin' bike. Best 600 in it's class! I would like to have one for bombing through traffic here though. Talk about a fun bike to split lanes on.

If you think the power compares to a 600 your crazy. Mine just made 139.56 hp and 78TQ with 268 miles on it. bone stock.

I went and checked one out...$7500+tax OTD. It was tempting, that's a very nice bike.

I rode many 600's and an 1125 Buell Harley (and Triumph 675), this "best in class" statement is funny as all hell!
It lost on the race track, on the street, and on the sales floor. RIP 1125.
Although I agree the ROTAX engine was a huge step up (and too late to save the brand)

I was talking about the AMA trying to save buell by letting them run in the 600 class. It shouldn't be in the same class with 600's but it is in the AMA.
