The cam and crank sensors are for ignition timing and injector phasing and have no control over fuel pressure. At wide open throttle, the engine uses the the highest volume of fuel from maximum torque ( above 7000 ) to maximum horsepower. Any restriction in the fuel supply will cause fuel pressure to drop. This could be a clogged fuel strainer, weak pump or pinched fuel line ( before your fuel pressure gauge ). I would check the strainer first.

If the pressure drops under load the pump doesnt have the volume to keep up with demand. The zx12 pumps are weak not just the early ones I have had to factory style pumps in mine now I run an exturnal Walbro with an adjustable regulator very happy with it.
