Akrapovic is quiet.....

Which is a good thing because thats exactly what I wanted...

Under normal cruising conditions I would say it's not much louder than stock... It only gets 'heard' when you get on it...

I was in the back of the pack on Saturdays ride behind TBR and D&D slip-on's and a full Muzzy. I can say that I didn't hear my bike run all day....

Muzzys have a rep for being loud. I would say that that rep is well earned. However, they do sound really good... For me though, I wouldn't want every ride being on a bike that is that loud....

The old saying, If its to loud your to old. I run a sidewinder on the 12
and a D/D on the 954. The cages can't say they didn't hear me. But everyone
has their own noise level. Ride safe guys.

Actually, I've read a study that said that loud pipes don't improve you chances of being seen. For example, bikes with loud pipes coming up from behind while your driving in a car. You don't hear them until they are right up on you.

After reading this I started paying attention to this. You know, that study may be right. I've had bikes with loud pipes come up from behind me, and I didn't hear them until they were right on top of me...

I actually prefer a quieter exhaust system, that's the reason my 12 is still stock actually. I've got about 7000 miles on my 12 now, and I'm noticing that the exhaust has actually gotten a lil louder, still more quiet then most.

I want an exhaust that can give me more power, but also be sooo quiet. Everything is so loud these days.

Was there an audible db rating on that Akro you got?
Anyone know of any exhaust just as, if not more, quiet?
