DrRyanScarsella G-Pack update "GREAT NEWS"

Well Dr Ryan I finally went and had my 04 dynoed with my G-Paclk installed. and this was the result.
Without the G-Pack the bike would not get passed 185 MPH
Now for the Really Good News
With the G-Pack installed the bike went 196 MPH on the with stock gearing at 11,200 RPM on the dyno.
While doiing the run on the dyno the Speedometer would reached 185 then it dropped down to zero but the bike kept on accelerating all the way up to 196 MPH while the Speedo read "0"

The only other possible change that would effect the reslut is to my bike has Dave Owen modified my ECU.

So, now the bike will pull 11200 in top gear, 400 shy of the limiter? That is a definite improvement. I wonder how this might be improved by installing a speedo healer and dialing it down?

Initially I thought this thread was titled "DrRyanScarsella G-SPOT update"....that would have explained his 186 mph with a 40 shot....

shane you missed the problem associated with the 04/05 bikes and that was we could not get them above 186MPH
My bike pulled passed the 186 to 196mph at 11,200 and was still pulling so I did not see the need to go to its' now 12,200 redline.
Because I felt the G-Pack did de-restrict my 04.
again I do have a Dave"O" modified ECU which by itself my bike was still restricted to 186

I'm aware of the problem, I am just busting Ryan's balls!! I was there last Oct. with him and Shiphteey. I know he runs the G-Pack, and I am glad to see that it helps!!

Are you saying that it didn't die at 11200...you just didn't run it past that? I would like to see how high it could have pulled in 6th!!! 11625 is about the stock limit...

The motor was not even thinking about quiting at 11,200 I know it would have pulled all the way to 12,200.

If you look at my other post with the dyno sheet of my motor you see the power was there all the way to 12,200.

I'd bet that the change came more from the extended ECU than from G-pack.

Tuusinii without the G-pack but with the modified ecu the bike quite at 186mph
With the G pack and modified ecu it pulled to 196mph and was still pulling
But the Speedometer was reading ZERO / "0"

If you get a chance to do it again, run it until 11600 in top gear. That would tell if there were any restriction left at all.

Do you think that is safe to do with the stock valve springs? (12200)

stock springs coil bind at .410 valve lift.. the stock .358 lift on the intake cam gives plenty of room. so know.. I don't think your springs will give up or your valves will float..

OK, thanks for the info. I had just read that the stock springs had very little seat pressure, and that is why I asked.

I actually got mine directly from France this was the site.
http://www.nikkoracing.com/gpack_tarifkawa.htm
In the near future I do plan on going back on the dyno after I degree in my cams and run it to 12,000.

Just to make sure nothing else limits the speed. But as we saw it was past the original restricted speed of 186.
Yes, I am still running the stock springs.

Thanks for the info. MorePower Racing had it listed, but when I emailed them, they could not get it. I ordered one from Nikko directly.

Good work man! We needed some hard proof now we have it, I was going to the dyno soon to test this once my bike was back together. Now I know what I already had told the guys, I was pretty much sold on the g pack after one trip to maxton. Bike felt different to me, 196 with stock gearing is right where you want to be. I suspected the g pack worked, i just topped out at 186 first time at an lsr event. I also did it with stock header, tire pressure and oil weight. I was trying to get a baseline and was gaining 2 mph every run. I just wish we got more runs in at Maxton. I think that set up I had would have done 190. Now Ill be running full exhaust, thanks shiphteey, PC ignition mod, lighter rotor, and some other little stuff. Shooting for 195 this time.
As for shanes Ball busting, hey buddy only a couple more weeks. Dont make me go faster then you again. Dont cry about me having nos either. You got wheels, a full system and more runs under your belt then me. In fact, dont you still owe me beer from last time? If you dont whip my ass at maxton now, well, everything is in your favor other then the NOS. You should get nos before the race.
I am just glad we have some hard evidence that the nikko works. I didnt think it was a total piece of crap.

Drryan my ecu was modified by Dave Owen he is up in Mass. I don't remember what I paid either $200 or $250. Dave O would be able to tell you if the 04 and 05 are the same by now. Mine was the first 04 he did, he had to send the ecu out to be x-rayed to see if he could modify it.
I will pm you more info.
