Gel Battery?!
OK, so I'm in city traffic this morning and my battery dies (and so does the bike) reminding me that its time for a new battery . Anyone know where to get the best battery? I'm thinking about going with a Gel battery, because they are supposed to last longer on a bike (as the gel doesn't slosh around the battery chamber as much). Is this true? Kudos for some good battery advice!

Hopefully Gunner will chime in on this one.
We were talking about batteries a while back and he has a connection on either spiral or gell cell's.

MadMike works for Interstate Batteries. I'd wait for him to chime in. He has a whole lot of good info.

Yes, the Interstate YTX-14BS. and the high performance batteries now of days are a gel type. they have some liquid, But the plates soak up the electrolite and it is very similar to a gel style...

I use a Deka Glass Matt style battery in my bikes. ZERO acid to ever spill and power to burn. Hell, If the motor ever breaks you can drive the starter home with this deal I'm useing
Only problem is he can'r get these things right now. He'll probably have plenty when the season is over Aint that the way it goes...

Odessy is the maker for FBG battery and the OEM for Harley Davidson. I custom fit one larger than FBG but still needed 24V. Basically, if a Autozone generic is not enough, then you need 24V.
