The (mis)adventures of Canadamaxxer....part 1

There are a few sayings that are appropriate for this past summer for me: those things that don't kill us only make us stronger, bad things come in three's, patience is a virtue.....

There are a few of you on this site that knew that I got married in July. What most don't know is the chain of events that led up to the wedding and also the event that occurred after...up to and including our trip to Sportbike West. Here is my story:

My (now) wife and I took possession of our house at the beginning of June, We worked feverishly to make the house livable for us, so it was work all day and then come home and do reno's until 1:00 am....and repeat until the projects are done. We moved in completely at the end of June, and continued doing reno's. On top of this we were doing wedding planning and arranging for new appliances. I also began a totally different job five days before the wedding,so....needless to say my mind was a little occupied. I rode my 12R to work for the first 2 days I worked at the new shop, and then somehow managed to lose the LAST key I had for the bike. I looked all over, and to this day, I swear that either someone is playing a trick on me, or the key was stolen off of the top of my toolbox. Regardless, I lost my last key. I had intended to order some new blanks, but was putting that off because of the wedding. After about 3/4 hour of looking, I called my fiance and got her to come down to my work with my truck. We loaded the bike and took it home. Due to all of the planning and wedding related work, I just put the bike in the garage and walked away. Luckily I have AMA, so I was eventually able to get new keys cut, but this occurred a week after the wedding.

But itself, this is not so bad. I was embarrassed by the fact that I lost ALL of my keys in a matter of a couple of weeks, but I got through it. However, when the other things that occurred this summer are added in to the equation, I would almost think I got cursed by a gypsy or something.....
