Power Commander help

Hi Guys

I have a Question

I was given a brand new Power commander 206-411 and i wonder if it will work on my 2000 A1 model. The website says I should have the 204-411. Are there any differences between the power commander models ie plugs or can I just load a 204-411 map into it?

Cheers for now

My PCIII usb has a sticker on it that says 204-410 for part number 204-411 and 206-411. So I called Dyno Jet and ask WTF? They say it's the same unit for both. I have it on my 01 and it works fine.

well damnnnnn.

I installed the power commander with the stock map and guess what????

The bike runs like shit!!!!!!

When she gets to normal running temp the bikes seems to be running on 2 cylinders jumping around and when i come to a stop she cuts out and its difficult to start.

I removed the unit and the bike still does it. It was running great before I installed it.

Whats wrong, can everybody throw some light on this?

Oh and the FI light now stays on

cheers for now

Hey ninja12

Damn I'm a noob, you was right, I must have pulled the wire to the air pressure sensor while moving the wires around to make room. Go it reconnected and bike running normal

The units are the same for some models but different base maps (the maps the units are shipped with) are loaded into units for different model years, hence the different part numbers.

Dave, I can give you a ride report on my PC3.
WOW it's very nice, when it works.
I think Dynojet found thier problem.
Bike is smoother that stock with stock exhaust.
Bike feels like an electric motor only much faster.
Stock motor Akrapovic and downloaded map.
