I love to RIDE the gap, but the fast times I posted here were done in a Porsche
powered rail buggy I made JUST for running the Gap...
AND also note that the 11 mile run
is from CROT to the bridge... but most people call the run
from the NC/TN line to the top of the overlook, and that's
what I did in 8 min 13 sec. The machine is about 3 in
off the ground has around 450hp and weighs in at 1375 lbs.
It can totally smoke ANY bike in the turns or on the straights. Just wanted to clear that up.
I also built a mid-engine, street legal Indy type car
to run in the Silver State Classic, but they banned me as
unfair competition... as did Car and Driver for the
"One Lap of America" series.

You see what brought this on was a post I made this week when I found out I was appointed as a Police Officer, so I posted to share with all my friends who ride all the great news.. I shared this in our general forums area.... He felt it should have gone into our COPS FORUM... I felt it didn't nor did the moderators..
Well 238MPH, had a problem with this and started his own little bashing thread on my thread... His problem was, that his post made no sense and was a mere attempt to slam someone he does not like....

238, sorry about the confusion, I read that post on .org about the Gap and saw you post the 8 minute time, didn't know it was in that thing, I thought it was on your 12, which we all know, ain't gonna happen with any rider. Kick ass toys by the way. :up

Damn 238.... you should put up some video of that beast going through the Gap!
I was gonna call you on the 8 min.... but with that much tire under your car... I dont doubt for a second you ran that fast!

Quick question.... is that frame "based" on any production car ... or did you just fab it yourself?

That's not me in the pic with the shirt... but it is a good friend that's an

We took the "boys" out for a ride one day, and tore up the countryside.
Everything I build is from total scratch... someone asked that question...
And now that I've moved to Arizona... I built a few other toys....
Damn, this is fun... I guees you guys didn't know that I love to build stuff
for fun...

Note: I built this Wrangler too... started with a brand new 2001 at the
time... cut it in half and stretched it, made the pickup bed and the half-top
Or maybe you guys like the Northstar powered (520HP) sandrail I did....

Ninjaman, yes, it's fully rolled 572 cubic inch BB Chevy.
I copied a little trick form Porsche and cross drilled
the bearing caps and ran copper lines. When the piston comes
down it's timed with the crank to get oil sprayed at the top of the piston, to keep it cool.
That way I can run 14:1 comp ratio on the street with pump
gas... it also has a computer that senses any knock and
retards the timing... but when you add 110 avgas, hahahaha
look out it gets crazy!
