1 1/4 inch more leg room CHEAP from another board..
Warpspeed posted this not sure if he's a member here..
Copy and pasted
First read about this idea on the SV board and I had to try it on the 12: Buell XB Footpegs! Besides dropping the pegs about 1.25" lower, they're also a bit more rearset now due to the angle of the mounts.
Not quite drop in but damned close.
I used a Unibit to open up the pivot hole to match the Kaw pin size and as shown in the past pic, I had to grind down the peg a hair on each side as it was just a bit too wide to fit. 10 minutes worth of fiddling and they dropped right in.
The peg feelers are absurdly long, I'll grind those down to a more reasonable size next.
These would probably work on a Busa as well so you other big bastages can also get some much needed leg room.
Here's what to order...
Buell XB Rider Footpegs.
Buell Part # N0006.1AD
$25.00 and they come bubble packed as a set

Do you have a source for them online? Or have to locate a buell dealership?
I guess I should REFRESH more often.

Won't it make your bike start leaking oil? Actually I think I'll try a set!I have lockhary phillips superpole pegs that redelk posted about but they mount solid and I've ground the shit out of them (even mounted in the most upper position)

My local HD/Buell dealer couldn't find that number. Here is how to educate him. Tell him to go to Buell.com and click on US, Products, Accessories, Lightning, Controls, then XB rider footpegs. This will bring up a picture, part no., and price- $26.50. The $41.95 mentioned on this thread was canadian.

That part number I listed is for a set of 2 pegs, they're listed as a Buell accessory for other models. Both pegs, in the wrapper for $25.00
Some grinding as indicated is needed on either side so they fit. I haven't had any issues so far and I'm not exactly an average sized rider at just over 6'4" and 290. I haven't tried to bounce up and down or stomp on them but I wouldn't do that to the stockers. I wouldn't expect any peg/bracket combo to come out unscathed under my stomping.

Tell him to order that one part number I listed.....1 item. 2 pegs come per order, blisterpacked to cardboard backing. My dealer ordered 2 and he ended up with 2 SETS of pegs.
